For the hirer's sheet
The one-page fire safety sheet you attach to a hire agreement. Leave blank if you only want the notice.
Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. It runs in your browser; print or save it when you're done.
Where to put it, and what it has to say
A fire action notice tells anyone in the building what to do if they find a fire or hear the alarm, in the order they'd do it. Fire safety law requires that people on the premises are given that information; in a building used by hirers and visitors who've never been told, the notice on the wall is how. Put one by every exit and every call point, and one in the kitchen. Laminate it. Make sure the assembly point on the notice is the one in your fire risk assessment and your emergency plan, and that the hirer's sheet says the same.
The hirer's sheet is the page the hire agreement means when it says "the hirer has received the hall's fire safety sheet and will read it before the event". Attach it to every booking. The fire risk assessment checklist covers whether the exits, lighting and extinguishers it describes are actually in place.
A generator for a standard notice, not legal advice. The content of your notice and the arrangements it describes are for the responsible person, with the fire risk assessment. The Venue Record is independent and is not connected to, endorsed by or approved by any fire and rescue authority or government body.
The notice on the wall is step one. The record that it's tested is the rest.
The Venue Record keeps the fire plan, the alarm tests, the drills and the certificates in one dated record, reminds the right person before each one is due, and gives the fire officer one link. Opening to the first venues soon.
